Rory Mackintosh

Physiotherapist

Rory joined Aspire in 2025 following the completion of his Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Honours at University of Newcastle. Rory is a local with strong ties to the Central Coast community, graduating from St Edwards College before pursuing his passion for physiotherapy. A lifelong sportsman, Rory has extensive personal experience playing rugby union, soccer and Oztag, giving him a firsthand understanding of the demands of sport on the body. Like most physiotherapists, Rory knows what it is like to be a patient, having sustained a shoulder dislocation. In recent times, Rory has turned to events that he is better built for, completing marathons and the 50km Blue Mountains Ultra Trail- apparently for fun- so he knows all about what it is like to be committed to fitness, a training plan, and to be in pain!

Rory was part of the Aspire family for several years during his student journey, proving match day coverage for Terrigal United FC Women’s Premier League and Central Coast United FC Youth League, and still covers Terrigal United FC Men’s Premier League teams now. This has provided Rory with excellent opportunities to learn the management of acute sports injuries.

Rory provides enthusiasm, attention to detail and contemporary treatment approaches informed by the latest research and evidence-based practices. Whether you're a weekend warrior recovering from injury, an athlete looking to optimise performance, someone managing chronic pain, or simply stiff and sore and need help, Rory is committed to providing personalised care and effective treatment plans to help you get back to your best.
